Week 1: The class was introduced to wonderwheel, which is a method of research on google. it's useful and makes searching for a topic or something easier and you know exactly what you want to do. i found it vey easy to use.

Week 15:

What? The topic is Wing Chun, which is a form of Kung Fu and a combative art.

Why? I chose Wing Chun because its been a part of my life and still is and it has grown for me. Also my parents do it as well, so I would like for every one to understand it as a art for health, culture and a way of life rather than a combative art this is the last thing it is.

When? I will do my research out side of home and school like interviews at the academy and my teacher. I will do this when I am ready.

who? I will get my research off of my teacher and my dad plus the academy.

how? My research is coming from knowledge i have already known from the past. but also i will go deeper than that and conduct interviews and surveys to get others opinions. internet books is also another area i am looking at.

PROPOSAL
The topic I have chosen to study is Wing Chun which is a form of Kung Fu. I will be researching this topic in-depth, by interviewing, using the internet and through books and other media. I also practice this martial arts system, and so do my parents so it is of high interest to me. But it is also is worth studying because many people have learned of this art, especially through movies, but they don’t understand where it comes from and the influence it has had in Chinese culture as well as in Australia as a multicultural country. I will use a questionnaire with students and teachers at the Wing Chun Academy on Gouger Street, and through an on-line survey to try to understand their reasons for doing Wing Chun. I also will interview my teachers and my parents to explore the influence it has had on their lives. In particular, I will investigate the line of leading practitiomers, explore how they got into the style and how it evolved over time. I think that I will find out a lot about traditional Wing Chun, how it came to be the system and art it is today in Australia, and what motivates people to put the time and effort into its practice.

In week 8 i spoke with mrs. Hewitson about my topic and she suggested that i do a practical as well as the write up. mrs. Hewitson suggested i teach a class of people about 20-30 people and it will be filmed. so people can see what is really is and its not just imaginary from the write up. i dont no yet how im going to get the people yet but its most likly going to be hand picked.
